Legislation
The HSE website advises that, when storing heavy items, where practical, these items should be stored at waist height. Staff should then be trained in and made aware of the new system.
We are able to supply an extensive range of shelving which will facilitate the storage of everything from small parts to bulky items
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations advise an assessment of any handling and lifting activity than needs to be undertaken in the workplace, the most straightforwards way of doing this is using a MAC assessment which is explained on their website.
