Keeping a business premises running smoothly day in, day out, demands a range of products which many people often take for granted.
But without the right seating, lighting, machinery, workbenches, tools and tool storage units, floor maintenance and grounds maintenance equipment, to name but a few, your company won't run as efficiently as it could.
Being properly equipped means that you are ready to respond to your customers' every request, and keep your site operating as smoothly as possible.
Slingsby manufactures a range of high-quality essential workshop items, and we sell them direct to you. But cutting out the middleman, you get the dual benefit of being able to depend on the quality of everything we sell, and to rely on us offering it to you at the most competitive prices.
This has been the formula behind our growth and success for nearly 120 years. We make and sell more than 35,000 individual lines, and can even custom-make individual products for your business in the unlikely event that we don't have exactly what you're looking for on our website.
With our long history, we know exactly what's needed to keep a business operating, and have helped thousands of them to find everything they need to equip and maintain their premises.
We now offer a free next-day delivery service on 3,000 of our most popular lines, and this has seen our business continue to prosper. So when you need the reassurance that all your workshop and maintenance supplies needs are covered, let us give you a helping hand.
Legislation
According to the HSE, employers are obliged to ensure their employees achieve their ideal working conditions such as ideal temperature, noise levels, and working positions.
Advice for employers includes:
Avoid stooping, bending over or crouching for any periods of time to reduce stresses and strains by using a range of height adjustable workbenches, chairs and stools.
Keep a track of the temperature in the workplace, use a thermometer or climate check and adjust with fans or heaters accordingly.
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 states at 85 decibels employers must provide hearing protection and hearing protection zones. Use Sound level meters to assess noise levels and take risk assessments to assess the steps to further protect employees such as the use of ear defenders.
