There is an easy way to measure the humidity in an environment that doesn't involve using a manual whirling hygrometer. There are some functions to be aware of; max hold and data hold, as well as a low battery indicator and auto power off. The low battery indicator gives you time to replace the battery in order to perform measurements rather than you getting to a location and not being able to use it due to a dead battery.
