They enable you to ensure the noise level in a working environment isn't excessive and if it is you must provide your staff with ear defenders to protect their hearing. Our manual or auto range sound level meter is ideal for measuring noise levels in various industries and environments. They are supplied with a foam wind muffler so that you can also measure noise ranges in outdoor conditions, providing precision readings without the results being skewed by excessive air hitting the microphone. There is a 35mm LCD display with a backlight so that reading your results is easy even in low light. A data hold function allows you to freeze the display, along with minimum and maximum hold displays to enable you to write down what has been recorded. To ensure the device has a long lifespan there is auto power off after 15 minutes of no activity and a low battery indication, so you can be prepared and replace the battery instead of it switching off in the middle of your measurement taking.
