CONSTRUCTION
The purpose of the Regulations is to require precautions to be taken against the risk of death or personal injury from electricity in work activities.
Electricity can kill and injure people. Around 1000 electrical accidents at work are reported to HSE each year and about 25 people die of their injuries.
There are simple precautions when working with, or near electricity that can be taken to significantly reduce the risk of electrical injury to you and others around you.
